We keep fish because we're fascinated by the species, not because of some mythical beliefs! That and feng shui may state you need to keep it in X place, which would in fact be entirely unsuitable as it may be in direct sunlight or far from any plug sockets so you couldn't have proper filtration. I've also seen feng shui state things like keep 8 black fish or something, and so people get black moors - except for 8 black moors you'd need a tank of around 100 gallons and very well filtered, a feng shui type probably wouldn't be going for that.
If you want wealth creation - get a better job! My fish are wealth reductions because I spend so much money on keeping them.|||If you're really interested in that stuff, then do your research. As for which direction it should face, that's a matter of opinion, and how the rest of the room looks. As for what fish you can keep, that all depends on the size of the tank and how well maintained it is, and if you have the proper necessities to keep your fish alive.
You're not going to make money from this "small fishtank" unless it's large enough to breed a certain type of fish, and you're able to get the fry out and sell them. Honey you was duped big time. Creating a fish tank big or small does not make you wealthy. If that was the case, millions of people would be wealthy, including myself.
But on to the question, depending on the size of the tank. Always remember 1 inch of fish per gallon of water. So a 1 inch fish should have 1 gallon of water and so on.

So someone looking for "flowers" is not going to have your site in mind. I have used Fengshui and find it very helpful provided you stick with really good masters . A little knowledge is dangerous and if your not careful make things worse . I have seen people go overboard and use LARGE items ( too big for the size of thier house and LOSE everything )Yes it works but becareful how you use it !

In Fengshui, KEEPING A SHIP AS A CURIO IS O.K OR IS IT BAD ?

Without knowing details, I would place it close to the kitchen or by the entrance ONLY if the ship is directed into the house. You want it pointing in, not out the door or any window.

Help please. Do things like designing you bedroom like fengshui or other signs of luck help you succeed.?
I am really lucking success. In a sense that i am willing work hard but i feel so tired and sleepy and i wonder if that is because the way i have designed my bedroom, my surroundings affect me. What would help me? i am a healthy person i just luck success. its hard to describe what i mean. Kinda luck of interset, and luck of energy always stressed and feeling down.|||I would start with a bedroom retreat. A sanctuary where you can go and rejuvinate.

get rid of all unecessary clutter.

"Believe" does not come into play. Depends on how you understand FengShui (Wind %26amp; Water), or the elements. The practice of fengshui can be seen as the bringing together of the elements to create harmony for better living...
The results of a fengshui are often very logical, e.g. the position of the main doors, position of beds, desks, etc. Often, it does not require a fengshui master- an interior designer can do just as well. So, there is nothing wrong for Christians to practise sengshui, in this respect.
However, the other side of fengshui seems like an occult session, involving the underworld, the supernatural, etc. It is this element of "fengshui" that Christians should be aware of. It is this part which Christians should not "believe" in, since Christians have faith that God will protect them...|||Christian's are just people. As an individual, Christian or otherwise, you can believe what you want.
Of course there will always be people that are Christian and tell you one thing that will conflict with what another Christian (myself in this answer, for example) am telling you.
Make up your own mind.|||Fengshui is the art of dealing with energy of the space.
Some christians may say that only God can make that judgement. Other christians may see it as.... why not make the space nicer by just moving furniture around?

I am planning to start a business this year May 2008 is it okey in Fengshui?
may is not good. according to the stars aligning in may, which is the 6th month, and in this year, when you combine 20 and 8, you get 28 and 28 is not good mix with 6.

Our future is in the hands of God, not somebody who reads tea leaves or the entrails of a dead animal or whatever the feng shui person does.

Why there is no Christian pastor or priest become a Feng shui man? the reason is fengshui is considered to be metaphysics, which means something that is beyond physics, or something that is hard to explain/ prove in physical terms, just like a religion or faith. but unlike religion, in fengshui, a person who practices fengshui do not constanly believe on the do's and don'ts of fengshui - that can be tiresome - like christianity. don't you think? thus, fengshui is not a belief.
in christianity, in its core, there should only be god and god alone - else they call it false gods. thus, no pastor nor priests practice fengshui.

What is ur comment?|||It's alright if you were to see a Fengshui master. The Fenshui master will tell you how to get good fengshui. For a believer like you, you'll definitely feel better after following the master advices. Even for a non-believer, it is still no harm to visit a Fengshui master. No matter how you follow the master advices, eventually it's up to yourself to determine your life. Fengshui might provides some help to you but you can't rely entirely on Fengshui. Lead your life according to good Fengshui and not let Fengshui to lead you.
However i do not agree with you seeing a fortune teller. A fortune teller like its namesake is telling what supposedly will happen to you in the future. If he says your future will be very bright, out of troubles, you'll lead a very happy llife and all the good things, you might feel sceptial and not believe him BUT if he tells you that your future will be miserable and full of troubles, even for a non-believer, he will start to feel uncomfortable and for a believer like you, it will make you very stress up. So Fengshui master - yes, fortune teller - no.|||If you are cautious, it can be a very good move. Even if you feel fortune telling isn't "real" it often provides a chance to talk out problems, usually for a fraction of what a psychiatrist would cost.
Just be careful of any fortune tellers who say you are cursed and who want you to pay them to cast spells for you (especially if you didn't even ask them for a spell.)

Is Feng Shui only about Energy(CHI) and direction only no need to buy those Fengshui Items to place?
basically, fengshui is only about chi. this is true, but it becomes complicated because of the things it involves. for example, chi can be good and it can be bad. it can also be yin or yang, which is different from being good or bad. because yin chi can be good for you.
then each of the 5 elements has this chi.
the 5 elements are fire, earth, metal, water and wood. these can interact with each other, they either work together (enhancing cycle), or destroy each other. fire enhances earth, earth enhances metal, etc.; water destroys fire, fire destroys wood, etc.
some elements can be subdivided into their different characteristics. then in fengshui to make it easier, each of this elements is represented by a number from 1 to 9, just to make it easier to analyze. 1 for water, 9 for fire, 258 for earth, 67 for metal, and 34 for wood.
2,5 and 8 are all earth elements, but they all have different characteristics.
when each of these elements combine they form new chi, which has a new characteristic. and this characteristic can influence our lives. for example, 1 and 6 is a good combination for business because it can make us competitive, but it can also cause accidents esp when there are sharp objects around.
the nature of the lucky numbers are also derived from these characteristics. thus, the chinese like 111, 888, 829 as their car plate numbers. 829, others believed because when you say it cantonese it means becomes rich fast. but i believe that 829 is lucky because it is a double 10, which is regards as a "marriage" in fengshui - a very lucky thing. 8+2=10, and thus 1; 1+9=10; thus a double 10. but again the 2 which is also sickness is there remains to be dormant until the right time comes.

some elements can be subdivided into their different characteristics. then in fengshui to make it easier, each of this elements is represented by a number from 1 to 9, just to make it easier to analyze. 1 for water, 9 for fire, 258 for earth, 67 for metal, and 34 for wood.
2,5 and 8 are all earth elements, but they all have different characteristics.
when each of these elements combine they form new chi, which has a new characteristic. and this characteristic can influence our lives. for example, 1 and 6 is a good combination for business because it can make us competitive, but it can also cause accidents esp when there are sharp objects around.
the nature of the lucky numbers are also derived from these characteristics. thus, the chinese like 111, 888, 829 as their car plate numbers. 829, others believed because when you say it cantonese it means becomes rich fast. but i believe that 829 is lucky because it is a double 10, which is regards as a "marriage" in fengshui - a very lucky thing. 8+2=10, and thus 1; 1+9=10; thus a double 10. but again the 2 which is also sickness is there remains to be dormant until the right time comes.

now imagine that every thing on earth is classified into an element. thus, 6, which is metal is also the head of a person, and 4, which is a wood, is also a rope, when you put these together, people can be suicidal.
then imagine that each degree on the 360 degrees can also be classified into these elements. thus,
north is water

west and nw are metal
the center, sw and ne are earth
to make this complicated. time, each second, hour, day, year, period (20 years), era (3 periods) all can be classified into this system.
thus, when a person, who is born at a specific date, we can get his/ her element, by using this system to calculate.
and when this person interact with things on specific date, the outcome can be calculated. thus there is destiny calculation in fengshui.
and because of this system. we also would know that a house with a door facing at a specific degree will have what kind of chi/ energy distribution in the house. thus, we can use each of these areas to optimize the life of the person.

What is good in indian conditions, should i follow vaastu or fengshui while getting my house constructed?
Any good house should have provision for ventilation, natural lighting, and meet basic requirements. In the name of Vastu/Fengshui, I find people wasting a lot of hard earned money and wind up in dark holes that do not have either natural lighting or ventilation. Ventilation helps in keeping the house from foul odour and natural lighting helps in saving energy. Accordingly you plan to have sufficient windows of proper size and doors. I have my flat which is well ventilated and natural draft. I am no need for AC even during hot summer.|||vastu n fengshui are ways to pull down ones confidence!
i believe what ever u do, do it with full trust n belief in urself! if u think wen u get up in the morning u would love to see the sun rising directly from ur bedroom , try n construct ur bedroom which faces the east n if not then the west!
but incase if vastu says that the west facing is best for the bedroom n u miss the early morning sun, who would u blame, the vastu, the sun or urself?????????

I heard from a friend.. .. .. It is not Fengshui that helps prevent evil spirits from entering one's house. It is a kind of amulet and some prayers done before one moves into the house and got to 'renew' the contract every year by getting some prayers done.|||Only if you believe in those stuff. USUALLY.|||Feng Shui has to do with achieving harmony with the environment. It supposedly has effects on health, wealth, and personal relationships. I don't think that Feng Shui alone will protect your home, but it can help. You should look into protective crystals, protection spells, house blessings, %26amp; things of that nature. Whatever you look in to should be based on your own beliefs %26amp; practices.

House foundation fengshui?
i really dont know about fengshui but we are recenly building a new house. On the laying of foundation, sum1 told me to place 13 coins, others eight, others odd numbers only no even, so what we did was placed 2 sets of 13pcs coinsat the main door and on the remaining post we placed 7 coins each post. did i do it right? or if not, what is the best thing to do next?|||FENG-SUIE - IS BS

I'm a Christian and have never heard of fengshui being called a sin. In my opinion, I think it's sorta silly to arrange furnishings inside and outside of your home to gain a certain energy or mood. Fengshui is about common sense most of the time. If there's any 'bad' fengshui, it's because it could be noisy, and, if there's any bad fumes, it could escape up into the bedroom. Remember that fengshui was thought up long ago, before there were any cars or garages around.|||If you park the car sideways in the garage this gets rid of the negativity. FENGSHUI in Career Section what to place here and stuff...?
My career is a window and id like to make a small garden i only have a small area then i have the fence, i was thinking of having a bamboo fencing and two pots and a small water feature...
What colours and things should i have here?
What kind of water feature and plants should i add?

It's been sometime since taking those workshops in Tibetan Black Sect/School style feng shui -- that's another way of saying, your answer ultimately depends on you, but also, as you are requesting f.shui guidance -- I feel to mention, there are choices, according to which school you are working with.
See, the elements are balanced or 'corrections' made, accordingly.
Still, water feature flowing fresh sounds uplifting, soothing, moving..a la, get things clear %26amp; sharing :) Bamboo, hardy, classically lovely -- in vastu (look this up! older than all the feng shuis, India-n method of styling household), all leaf shapes are beneficial: think I recall (pls don't shoot the messenger! only doing my best to recall) that rounded leaves are favored in black sect, not pointed -- although, betcha! that bamboo is the long-lived, ever-hardy %26amp; healthy, cleansing exception -- very revered %26amp; sacred, in the eastern way of thought -- I know that it gets sold 'for good luck', sometimes.
Anyway, bamboo is ?premade? or living fence. For you to ponder, to consider...
are you planting seasonal herbs, flowers, strawberries! or? in your pots -- has creative, fun loving 'get involved' potential!
I would comment also, that HOW you wish your wealth to flow, your work %26amp; all areas of bounty incl. work/missions to flow..ought to be incorporated.
For ex., if I was a counselor, or artist, I might choose bold red blooms, or those strawberries..to emphasize passionate, heart-based progress..%26amp; deliciousness! Whether a chef, or working with children/fun, this bright cheery approach, %26amp; other warm colors, would be great!
If I was a sleep therapist, or more office or other more contained, placid or wish to take time/slow things -- lavendars %26amp; other calming plants/flowers would be the peace-loving serene-making choice.
Again, you recall perhaps as (!) after all these years, even I might!..metal, wood, %26amp; all 5 elements are good in balance..experiment, if no other info is outwardly available -- all the schools came about via trial, error, intuitive selections, that brought desirable results :)
Remember to be the master, leader, one who does/chooses for you -- not be slave, slavishly follow, rigidly, any set pattern or school of anythg...your own spirit reflecting itself back to you will best, most bring you plenty to enjoy!

Koipu carp, goldfish or minnows! Newts! Moss, maiden's hair ferns, or variegated potted plants, bonsai trees...again, mirrors, windchimes, of metal, bamboo -- music for you, your soul.
Playful gnomes faeries creatures, buddha kwanyin Virgin Mary, abstract or mobiles..anythg that anti-graves/anti-gravs, 'grabs' you! special lights, maybe colored, soft and brite..from below, above, along rocks...paintings/scrolls, calligraphic stones in english %26amp; japanese..recorded music...now, your 'small garden' might be smaller than all of tjis..but, this expanded, expands your spirit is the aim or aspiration -- that moves you to fill %26amp; to let itself fill the space: anyone can squeeze in things or clutter -- this small space can be a key, a harmonious uplifting place, to let you be you, to free, unlock your treasures, honor your personal, private spirit, the way you honor your space.
