My career is a window and id like to make a small garden i only have a small area then i have the fence, i was thinking of having a bamboo fencing and two pots and a small water feature...
What colours and things should i have here?
What kind of water feature and plants should i add?
Any ideas....would be grateful.

It's been sometime since taking those workshops in Tibetan Black Sect/School style feng shui -- that's another way of saying, your answer ultimately depends on you, but also, as you are requesting f.shui guidance -- I feel to mention, there are choices, according to which school you are working with.
See, the elements are balanced or 'corrections' made, accordingly.
Still, water feature flowing fresh sounds uplifting, soothing, moving..a la, get things clear %26amp; sharing :) Bamboo, hardy, classically lovely -- in vastu (look this up! older than all the feng shuis, India-n method of styling household), all leaf shapes are beneficial: think I recall (pls don't shoot the messenger! only doing my best to recall) that rounded leaves are favored in black sect, not pointed -- although, betcha! that bamboo is the long-lived, ever-hardy %26amp; healthy, cleansing exception -- very revered %26amp; sacred, in the eastern way of thought -- I know that it gets sold 'for good luck', sometimes.
Anyway, bamboo is ?premade? or living fence. For you to ponder, to consider...
are you planting seasonal herbs, flowers, strawberries! or? in your pots -- has creative, fun loving 'get involved' potential!
I would comment also, that HOW you wish your wealth to flow, your work %26amp; all areas of bounty incl. work/missions to flow..ought to be incorporated.
For ex., if I was a counselor, or artist, I might choose bold red blooms, or those strawberries..to emphasize passionate, heart-based progress..%26amp; deliciousness! Whether a chef, or working with children/fun, this bright cheery approach, %26amp; other warm colors, would be great!
If I was a sleep therapist, or more office or other more contained, placid or wish to take time/slow things -- lavendars %26amp; other calming plants/flowers would be the peace-loving serene-making choice.
Again, you recall perhaps as (!) after all these years, even I might!..metal, wood, %26amp; all 5 elements are good in balance..experiment, if no other info is outwardly available -- all the schools came about via trial, error, intuitive selections, that brought desirable results :)
Remember to be the master, leader, one who does/chooses for you -- not be slave, slavishly follow, rigidly, any set pattern or school of anythg...your own spirit reflecting itself back to you will best, most bring you plenty to enjoy!

Now, you haven't given measurements..so, I don't know if the following suggestions are appropriate especially for you -- first of all, grateful is excellent, where all purifying can begin, to flourish.

I wonder re: mirrors, statues esp. that are water-features, again, uplift you, lighten %26amp; refresh your heart, mind %26amp; spirit -- slow your pace so that you are happy to dawdle, contemplate, spend time enjoying. That welcome you, mutually too..that you welcome, "ah" :)
Koipu carp, goldfish or minnows! Newts! Moss, maiden's hair ferns, or variegated potted plants, bonsai trees...again, mirrors, windchimes, of metal, bamboo -- music for you, your soul.
Playful gnomes faeries creatures, buddha kwanyin Virgin Mary, abstract or mobiles..anythg that anti-graves/anti-gravs, 'grabs' you! special lights, maybe colored, soft and brite..from below, above, along rocks...paintings/scrolls, calligraphic stones in english %26amp; japanese..recorded music...now, your 'small garden' might be smaller than all of tjis..but, this expanded, expands your spirit is the aim or aspiration -- that moves you to fill %26amp; to let itself fill the space: anyone can squeeze in things or clutter -- this small space can be a key, a harmonious uplifting place, to let you be you, to free, unlock your treasures, honor your personal, private spirit, the way you honor your space.
Make it clear! memorable..%26amp; fun :) in this relaxed, comfy %26amp; yet mysterious (as, infinity, more ongoing spaces are implied, forever is here! contained...like a wild animal visiting, cooperating..know that you are being blessed, to bring beauty %26amp; bounty, to this illusion of small space -- potential, yours!
